NESCH Board of Directors

The New England Society of Clinical Hypnosis is led by an interdisciplinary group of healthcare professionals committed to advancing responsible clinical hypnosis education, ethical professional practice, and a strong learning community throughout New England.

Harvey Zarren, MD
President

Harvey Zarren, MD

Dr. Harvey Zarren is a physician, clinical hypnosis educator, and wellness consultant whose career has included internal medicine, cardiology, integrative healthcare, and mind-body approaches to healing. He is the founder of the Connected Healing Institute and has taught extensively on clinical hypnosis, therapeutic relationships, and human biology.

Claire Scigliano, PsyD
Past President

Claire Scigliano, PsyD

Dr. Claire Scigliano is a psychologist and longtime NESCH leader. As Past President, she brings institutional knowledge and leadership continuity to the Board while supporting NESCH's ongoing commitment to clinical hypnosis education and professional development.

Russell S. Chin, DDS
Treasurer & Associate Director

Russell S. Chin, DDS

Dr. Russell Chin is a dentist, clinical hypnosis educator, and longtime NESCH leader. A graduate of New York University College of Dentistry, he has served in multiple NESCH leadership and faculty roles and has remained active in both dental and clinical hypnosis professional communities.

Tanya Cherkerzian, LICSW
Secretary

Tanya Cherkerzian, LICSW

Tanya Cherkerzian is a licensed independent clinical social worker whose practice includes anxiety, trauma, mood concerns, life transitions, and resilience. She is an ASCH Approved Consultant and incorporates clinical hypnosis into therapeutic work, consultation, and professional education.

Members-at-Large contribute interdisciplinary perspectives to governance, education, professional engagement, and the continued development of NESCH.

Member-at-Large

Cindy Bell, LICSW

Cindy Bell is a licensed independent clinical social worker and NESCH Member-at-Large. She contributes a social work perspective to the Board's interdisciplinary work and its support of clinical hypnosis education, professional learning, and member engagement.

Ellen Cohen, MD
Member-at-Large

Ellen Cohen, MD

Dr. Ellen Cohen is a physician and NESCH Member-at-Large. She contributes a medical perspective to the Society's interdisciplinary leadership and its commitment to thoughtful, responsible clinical hypnosis education and professional practice.

Joshua Haugh, DO
Member-at-Large & ASCH Representative

Joshua Haugh, DO

Dr. Joshua Haugh is a physician board-certified in adult psychiatry and consultation-liaison psychiatry. His clinical work incorporates psychotherapy, medical hypnosis, EMDR, psychopharmacology, mindfulness, and individualized approaches to psychiatric and medical concerns.

Kaloyan Tanev, MD
Member-at-Large

Kaloyan Tanev, MD

Dr. Kaloyan Tanev is a psychiatrist and neuropsychiatrist affiliated with Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School. His professional interests include neuropsychiatry, psychotherapy, clinical hypnosis, and individualized treatment of complex psychiatric, neurological, and medical conditions.

NESCH Administration

NESCH's administrative leadership supports the connection between members, faculty, programs, Board leadership, and the Society's day-to-day operations.

Staisha Santungwana, MS
Administrator

Staisha Santungwana, MS

Staisha Santungwana serves as Administrator for the New England Society of Clinical Hypnosis, supporting the Society's members, educational programming, communications, registration, and organizational administration.

She works closely with NESCH's Board, faculty, presenters, and members to coordinate programs, maintain organizational systems, support membership operations, and help ensure a responsive and well-organized professional community.
