The New England Society of Clinical Hypnosis (NESCH) is a distinguished organization dedicated to advancing the practice and understanding of clinical hypnosis among healthcare professionals. As a component society of the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis (ASCH), NESCH offers a robust platform for education, consultation, and community engagement.

OUR MISSION

We are committed to making clinical hypnosis an accessible therapeutic tool for practitioners from all professional backgrounds. Through training and community support, NESCH empowers clinicians to integrate hypnosis into their practices. Our greater aim is to enhance patient care, drive better outcomes, and expand the acceptance and application of hypnosis within the broader healthcare landscape.

Educational Opportunities

Since our inaugural workshop in 1956, featuring the esteemed Milton Erickson, MD, NESCH has been at the forefront of clinical hypnosis education. We provide a continuum of learning experiences:

• Annual Workshops: Decades of providing an annual Level 1 in the Fall, Level 2 in the Winter, and Advanced in the SPring. Comprehensive training sessions designed to equip practitioners with foundational and advanced hypnosis skills.

• Quarterly Meetings: Regular gatherings that offer continuing professional education in hypnosis and related topics, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. These provide a time for the membership to connect and feature an engaging 3-hour webinar taught by an expert in the field on a variety of topics.  

• Study Groups and Seminars: Focused sessions that allow members to delve deeper into specific areas of interest within clinical hypnosis. These are usually led and facilitated by NESCH faculty. Availability is limited and we are looking to expand.
