Sunday, September 30th Dr. Zarren Presents Framework of Patients with Fibrmyalgia

  • 2012-09-30
  • 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM
  • Newton Wellesley Hospital, Allen Riddle Hall
Sunday, September 30, Harvey Zarren, MD, FACC, will present what promises to be a fascinating talk on a framework for the treatment of patients with fibromyalgia. Dr. Zarren will speak from his clinical work with fibromyalgia patients. His work is evolving from his background in clinical cardiology and body physiology, his study of psychoneuroimmunology, his love of storytelling, and his joy of creatively using clinical hypnosis. Dr. Zarren credits “The Psychobiology of Gene Expression” (2002) by Ernest L Rossi with opening his approach to the chronic suffering of people with disorders such as fibromyalgia, disorders where there are “no tests and no pills.” Please join Dr. Shapiro and me after the presentation at 1 PM for an informal lunch at the Newton-Wellesley Hospital cafeteria. We will be encouraging interested audience members to continue discussing this cutting edge presentation. Please mark your calendar for Sunday, 9/30, from 10 AM to 1 PM at the Allen-Riddle Library just uphill from the Newton-Wellesley Hospital.
